Our Story

Casa Juani is born from a blend of heritage, craft, and shared vision.

Eduardo grew up in Spain, where his mother Juanita, filled their home with soulful, resourceful cooking that shaped his earliest food memories. Her values remain the guiding force behind the restaurant.

After years working in acclaimed kitchens across Europe and the U.S., Eduardo met Kelly—a chef whose own journey through Eleven Madison Park, and Italy deepened her appreciation for tradition, family, and the stories behind food. United by these values, they built their careers side by side, arriving in Boulder in 2017 to lead the kitchen at Frasca as co-executive chefs. Casa Juani marks their first independent venture as a married couple: a deeply personal project that blends Eduardo’s roots with their shared culinary philosophy and expertise, bringing heritage, craft, and family to life in the heart of Pearl Street.

Spain, True & Creative

Spanish cuisine here is both authentic and imaginative. Inspired by Juanita’s kitchen, dishes draw from Spain’s diverse regions and traditions, but are reinterpreted by Eduardo and Kelly with modern craft. The result is an experience that feels unmistakably Spanish — yet uniquely Casa Juani.

Craft with Integrity

Excellence begins with integrity. From sourcing seasonal ingredients with trusted local farms to dry-aging meats and showcasing seafood at the marisquería, every detail reflects care and respect for the craft. It’s more than technique — it’s a commitment to transparency, sustainability, and quality guests can trust in every dish.

Hospitality from the Heart

Service is warm, genuine, and personal — welcoming every guest as if to a family table. Thoughtful details transform dining into a memorable experience, one rooted not in formality but in care and generosity. Casa Juani offers an atmosphere where people feel seen, comfortable, and connected.

A Shared Table

Dining on Pearl Street is part of Boulder’s social rhythm and Casa Juani is built for those moments— seamlessly folding into the city’s vibrant scene. With shareable plates, a lively bar, and a design that invites guests to linger, it transforms meals into connections. More than a restaurant, it’s a shared table where Boulder’s community comes together to eat, drink, and belong.

Mission

To bring soulful Spanish cooking to Boulder through authentic flavors, chef-driven creativity, and warm hospitality that feels like home.
